Coasting to the end or pursuing my dreams?

I am enjoying blogging. It's part of my dream come true. I don't plan to coast into retirement and just sit on a beach somewhere. If that's your dream,go for it. For me, I want to go a different direction or take my dream with me when I am traveling in a different direction. My dream is to encourage people through my writing. Blogging and other types of writing help me do that. So unless I am vacationing with family and friends, I plan on writing to help other people till I can't press another key. It's my purpose. I was wired for this. Since I was a little girl, this is what I was meant to do. I longed for it in the deepest heart of me. Does this mean that I will have a stack of best sellers? Or win amazing awards? Who knows. It would be nice but that is not why I write. I plan to keep learning the craft of writing and do the best I can but I'm just so happy to be at a point in life where I can pursue my dreams.

I truly hope you are pursuing your dreams too. If the busyness of life is making you wait on your dreams, don't give up! I am sure you have a passion that drives you and know what I mean.

Making lemonade out of life

My life is so different than I pictured it to be. Life sometimes does not turn out like you thought it would. I talk to so many people who sadly know what I mean. I found myself with broken dreams and had to restructure. I decided to take those sour lemons and make my own recipe of lemonade. Hopefully you don't know what I mean. In a way it was an an awful time but in ways it's turned out awesome.  One of my favorite things to do is put my arm around someone (usually in print) and say,

"Life may not turn out like you thought it would but it can still be great!"

I am living the dream, it's just a modified dream that is amazing. In my dream I am taking what I learned in my hard times and helping other people. You may ask, how great is that? I shout joyfully, "I love lemonade!"
